The Construction Superintendent is the field leader responsible for turning architectural vision into built reality. This role oversees day-to-day jobsite operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedule and quality standards, and protecting the reputation for craftsmanship and client experience.

1. Architectural Visions Are Brought to Life
Complex and high-quality projects—including custom homes, major remodels, condo/multifamily work, and high-end tenant improvements—are fully realized, from mobilization through warranty, with minimal rework and strong inspection results.

  • Proactively and critically reviewing designs, raising concerns, driving solutions, making sure designs are complete and constructable
  • Lead day-to-day field operations from site mobilization through punch and warranty with extreme ownership
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure work is properly sequenced, efficient, and safe.
  • Oversee all subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety regulations and prevent any OSHA violations

  • Own day-to-day quality control, ensuring work aligns with plans, specs, building codes, and finishes standards
  • Proactively resolve design and coordination issues with architects, engineers, and designers before they show up in the field

4. Stakeholders Are Aligned Through Clear, Proactive Communication

  • Act as the primary on-site representative, building strong relationships with clients, architects, neighbors, and inspectors
  • Run effective on-site meetings; provide concise progress reports and schedule lookaheads.
  • Maintain thorough daily logs and communicate key issues and decisions to the owner and project team

5. Margins Are Safeguarded With Tight Documentation, Cost, & Risk Management

  • Partner with the Project Administrator / Project Manager and accounting to keep RFIs, PCAs, submittals, change orders, and cost reporting accurate and current
  • Flag scope gaps, cost risks, and schedule impacts early, with clear options for resolution
  • Support the team in delivering projects at or ahead of planned cost and margin
Qualifications

Experience

  • 7–10+ years in construction, including at least 5 years as a Superintendent or equivalent field-lead on high-end custom homes or similarly complex projects
  • Proven success leading complex construction projects from preconstruction through CO and warranty while satisfying clients and protecting company margins
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades on architecturally sophisticated, detail-heavy homes; mountain or cold-weather building experience is a plus

Technical Skills

  • Deep knowledge of construction methods, building codes, sequencing, and trade coordination.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, high-end finishes, and mountain or cold-weather building methods (snow loads, moisture management, steep sites, etc.)
  • Fluency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Comfortable with construction technology and documentation tools; current stack includes Construction Online, Dropbox, Microsoft 365, and Adobe.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $80,000–$180,000 DOE
